Meeting Tight Deadlines
|
 In a tough economy you need to be creative to win jobs, complete them on time, and guarantee the customer is 110% satisfied.
An especially challenging job for Depend was a local medical office.
It was a large facility with 37 exam rooms and offices (also included common area spaces).
The job required removing wallcovering, prepping walls, installing new wallcovering and painting doorframes.
Each week, we had a deadline of assuring seven exam rooms were ready for cabinet installation by first thing on Tuesday morning.
The walls were in very bad shape and needed a full skim coat.
Saturdays and Sundays were workdays to "paint around" business and patients, while relying on large fans to dry the skim coat.
By the end of the job, our customer was 110% satisfied, and we were proud of a job well done and on-time.

Color Trends for 2012
|
According to Sherwin-Williams, the color trend in 2012 will be colors that "are analogous, or adjacent on the color wheel." Its color families are created in four palettes: reds, blues, greens, and neutrals.

Studies on White Offices
|
In a study done at the University of Texas at Austin, subjects evaluated red, green, and white offices.
White was the preferred color for creating the most pleasant work environment. People also indicated it appeared to be the most spacious.
In another study conducted by NASA, the findings showed an individuals ability to screen out their environment impacted their performance in white offices. People who have a harder time screening out their environment indicated a greater negative mood in a white office. The conclusion of this study was that different people react to colors differently, but that mood did not necessarily lead to productivity differences.
